Ms. Marsha Bailey has over 25 years’ experience in Child Protection, Family Interventions and Community Interventions. She holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Bedfordshire, as well as a Master’s in Social Work, from the University of the West Indies, St Augustine. Her first degree is in Social Work from the UWI with a specialisation in Social Policy and Psychology. Ms. Bailey is also certified in Sustainable Community Development by the Arthur Lok Jack School of Business.
Her early career was spent at the National Family Services (NFS) of the Ministry of Social Development, where she functioned as the Regional Coordinator with responsibility for Public Education. Upon leaving NFS she moved to the Student Support Services of the Ministry of Education as a Social Work Specialist. Ms. Bailey then transitioned to the Children’s Authority of Trinidad and Tobago (CATT) where she was involved in policy formulation for the Adoption and Foster Care Unit. After leaving CATT, she joined the Housing Development Corporation (HDC) as the Manager – Social and Community Services.
Ms. Bailey currently functions as the Manager Community and Engagement Services with the Facilities Estate Management Company Limited (FEMCoL) a subsidiary of the HDC.
In her national service functions, Ms. Bailey has served as a former Director of the Lake Asphalt (1978) Limited and recently completed her tenure as the Chairman of St. Jude’s Home for Girls, she also served as a Member of the Cabinet-appointed Committee for Children in Need of Supervision.
